About Us

The Beginning

In 1999, an ambitious man by the name of Kalle Kristensen moved from Norway to Thailand with a handful of dreams and an infectious smile. He ended up taking over a small hotel with 9 rooms and a cozy restaurant in Jomtien, just south of Pattaya. Because of the rich and green jungle feel in and around the hotel area, he affectionately named it “Nordic Garden”.

It took off – Nordic Garden grew rapidly and became popular among the local expats, visitors and holiday makers. The focus was on social gatherings, activities, and fun, and through hard work and dedication they managed to create a warm and lively atmosphere and community.

From the little Nordic Garden grew a property group which developed more than 15 projects with several thousands beds the following decade.

In 2009 Kalle retired from property development, but he did not stay still for long. Sports and especially rollerski took a presiding role in his life. In 2013 he skied over 1,000 km from Chiang Rai to Pattaya in 2 weeks for charity. And in 2016 he started promoting rollerski in Thailand. Today there is a well-established rollerski environment in Thailand with many clubs and national championships. Kalle and SiamNordic have an active role in continuing promoting the sport in Thailand. Kalle has stopped rollerskiing, but remains an active sportsman walking many kilometers per day and occasionally kayaking. In 2017 he spent 2 weeks kayaking down the Mekong River.

Even though Kalle has officially retired from business he has remained an active consultant with SiamNordic, and he has also been involved with various developments and projects around Thailand. His speciality is in marketing and creative ideas.

Tom is Kalle’s son. He first came to Thailand in 2005 and started working with Nordic Group. He took over the daily operations of the group in 2009, and changed the name to SiamNordic in 2011. From 2011 until today the main focus has been on property- and business-management, and property investments and sales.

SiamNordic Joint Venture

With the establishment of SiamNordic in 2011 there was also established a collaboration-network including several other companies and persons around Thailand. This network became the SiamNordic Joint Venture, and consists of a tight-knit group of Thai and international individuals who share similar perspectives and values.

Mission, Visions & Values

From spending many years in Thailand we have come to learn many lessons. From business-philosophy, property development and project management to culture, community, and purpose. One of the key take-aways from these 20 years in Thailand is that for true success all these things need to come together and be centered around individual needs.

Our mission is to develop and manage properties that serve as multicultural communities that give meaning and purpose to individuals.

We envision a community where expats and locals collaborate, help and benefit each other, and happiness and growth is the primary focus.

We believe in a physically active lifestyle, self-sustainability, safety and security, continuous and organic growth, spending time in nature, integrating with locals and helping each other. And we aim to have these values reflected in our projects.
